Who We Are
The WhizKids Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that strives to improve science and technology awareness in elementary, middle and high school students.
In 2007, WhizKids received $75,000 in funding from the State of Massachusetts to expand WhizKids programs. This was an increase from the $50,000 in funding received from the State of in 2006. We are also funded by independent grants, corporate sponsorships and private donors.
What We Do
WhizKids is a donation-funded organization that provides free assistance to schools, clubs and individuals.
- We help individual students with individual science projects
- We help schools set up science fair or science exploration programs
- We help individuals and schools to set up science clubs
- We facilitate access to the scientific community
- We run science days
- We teach students how to be entrepreneurs
- We offer lectures by WhizKids staff in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Technology
