The top two teams (GoPaper and Whee Co, LLC) selected by the judges panel in the first round competition will be having their final face-off competition on this Saturday at MIT Faculty Club. In addition, we will also announce the winning teams of two special awards: The Best Business Idea Award and The Best Business Presentation Award.

Judges
Paul Sicard
Paul Sicard is a tax consultant at Deloitte, one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services through nearly 30,000 people in more than 80 U.S. cities. Prior to his employment at Deloitte Paul spent the last 20 years as an entrepreneur in commercial and residential Real Estate Development and Construction. He is a licensed CPA and is currently a candidate for the CMA and CFM licenses, already having passed the CFM exam. Paul recently worked his way through school as a day trader while earning an MBA, a Masters of Science in Finance, a Masters of Science in Accounting, and a Certificate in Tax.
Chi Kong Shue
Chi Kong Shue is currently the Chairman and President of SDSC Global Foundation and CentriHall, Inc., both are non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. He has also been involved in hi-tech venture and private equity investments in Taiwan, China and U.S. since 2002.
He had been the Executive Vice President at Sycamore Networks (1998-2003) responsible for the R&D of intelligent optical transport & switching systems and Asia market development. Prior to Sycamore, he was the VP at Ascend Communications and a Co-Founder of Cascade, and the Vice President of Engineering. Both Sycamore and Cascade had very successful IPO’s (SCMR and CSCC on NASDAQ) in 1999 and 1994 respectively.
Mr. Shue had served at Open Software Foundation and Wang Laboratories, Inc. from 1978 to 1989.
Mr. Shue was born in Taiwan. He received a B.S.E.E. from ChiaoTung University in Taiwan in 1974, and a MS Degrees in both Computer Sciences and Operations Research from the Pennsylvania State University in 1978. He also studied in Sloan Graduate School of Management at M.I.T. in 1979.
Mr. Shue received the Asian-American Achievement Award from University of Massachusetts in 1998 for his contributions to the economic and social development of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He served as the President of NECINA in 2000 and as a Board Director since 1998. Mr. Shue currently holds three U.S. data communication patents and is a member of IEEE and OSA.
Julian E. Orbanes
Julian E. Orbanes is the Founder and CEO of GeoPhoenix, Inc., which produces the 'User Interface Supercharger' - software powering the next-generation of devices like cell phones and electronic TV guides. Self-taught at age 5 with Atari BASIC, Mr. Orbanes has 27 years programming experience. For 13 years, Mr. Orbanes has asked the question -- Why doesn't practical software play like video games and movies?
Since Age 15 Mr. Orbanes has been releasing technology products - his first was the Macintosh video game, Copter™. His second product, net.Form for net.Genesis, was brought to market when he was 20, and his third product, giFX for Interdimensions, was released when he was 22. His research in improving human-computer interfaces began in 1994 and has been praised by both academics and professionals in the field. He has published two works on his research at MIT’s Media Lab, which included the design and creation of Ping Pong Plus, an interactive ping pong table, and a wired cross country bike trip monitored through wireless technology. In 1998, he was a semifinalist at MIT’s 50K competition.
Recently Mr. Orbanes has been developing a 'Moore's Law' for User Interfaces(UI) which states that UI will develop exponentially like the computer chip. This so-called 'Orbanes Law' is based on being able to scientifically measure User Interface performance, and the application of genetics and natural selection to the modern user experience.
Li Wu
Li Wu is a principal solutions engineer at Global Solution Group at EMC. Ms. Wu has more than 15 years of experience in information technology industry including system architecture, strategic planning and management. Since joining EMC in 2001, she has played different roles in the development of engineering partnerships between EMC and third parties including Sybase, VERITAS, Legato, HP, and many others. Currently she architects and develops EMC for SAP solutions by integrating EMC hardware and software. Prior to joining EMC, she worked for Fidelity, Compware, Yazaki and Chinese Academy of Science. Ms. Wu received her B.S. from Northwestern University in China and M.S. in physics from Ohio University.
